Clegg says State schools are not good enough for his kids
Nick "Cactus" Clegg lied when he made this statement: "I am a father before a politician", in trying to defend his decision that State schools are ok for other kids but are not good enough for his own. A quick Google search to Clegg's wikipedia entry shows that he was in fact a politician before he became a father. Admittedly, I am nit picking, however, schools and nit picking go hand in hand.
Nich Starling, Norfolk Blogger, a LibDem supporter, states: "Sheffield, where Nick Clegg has his constituency, is a Lib Dem run council, it is, therefore, a Lib Dem run education authority. If the schools are not good enough there, technically, the Lib Dems will be at fault". It's a fair point.
This, just like the cactus, is a prickly subject...
Mr Clegg, who had the benefit of a private education himself: "As a 16-year-old exchange student in Munich, he performed community service for a minor case of criminal damage: he and a friend burned some cacti belonging to a professor". I suppose it makes a change from those Bullingdon Club twunts Cameron and Boris Johnson, trashing restaurants in Oxford...
