Lockerbie and Pan-Am flight 103
Let us hope that if the High Court in Edinburgh decides to quash this conviction on appeal, that that will be the end of the matter because it would appear to be madness if another £80M was spent on a new trial.
blogfan:I should imagine that the taxpayer will pay the compensation for the false imprisonment. It will be interesting to see if Libya claims its compensation back or which country has to reimburse Libya.

Ginger: A staggering amount of money spent on what would appear to be anybody will do as long as someone pays the price of so-called justice.
Who pays the man compensation and will Lybia get the compensation it paid out back?
