Charles Bronson says jails have gone soft
"Britain's most dangerous prisoner (sic) Charles Bronson has claimed that political correctness means prisons have gone soft".
He would know that wouldn't he hiding away in segregation? If it's so soft up on normal location, Charlie boy, then why don't you get your arse up there? Do you know how to do chicken impressions?

John, I know very little about the ins-and-outs of pokey, first hand.
I am curious, though.
Why do you always take the piss out of Bronson?
If you can't comment 'on blog', send me something on email - which you have on my site.
Cool.
well, let's face it, solitary confinement has a documented effect on mental health. the man's had 30 years. question answered.
merkin: I don't take the piss out of him. I think it is pathetic that he changed his name to that of a film star. I challenge the title of Britain's most dangerous prisoner. In his hey day, he was quite a handful but the introduction of Control and Restraint techniques removed most of his steam.
The truth is, segregation is the soft option. And he chose that. It means he does not have to fit in with other prisoners. It is harder to manage in normal location.
Many years ago, segregation was deemed as doing hard time. Bronson is stuck in that time-warp. It is no longer hard time. There is the element of escapism about it. Instead of Can't cook, won't cook. This is can't cope, won't cope.
Big fish in a small pond. In the open sea there are sharks and wales. I would say he would be a shrimp in open waters.
I have met many dangerous and hard prisoners, he doesn't even get in the top twenty.
Point taken, thanks, John.
