Labour reintroduces child labour and uses kids to spy on adults
Children as young as eight have been recruited by councils to "snoop" on their neighbours and report petty offences such as littering, the Daily Telegraph can disclose.
"The youngsters are among almost 5,000 residents who in some cases are being offered £500 rewards if they provide evidence of minor infractions.
One in six councils contacted by the Telegraph said they had signed up teams of "environment volunteers" who are being encouraged to photograph or video neighbours guilty of dog fouling, littering or "bin crimes".
The "covert human intelligence sources", as some local authorities describe them, are also being asked to pass on the names of neighbours they believe to be responsible, or take down their number-plates.
Ealing Council in West London said: "There are hundreds of Junior Streetwatchers, aged 8-10 years old, who are trained to identify and report enviro-crime issues such as graffiti and fly-tipping"".
This has shades of Stalinist Russia and Nazi Germany.

Good,respectable parents will not let their children become 'little Nazi's' at taxpayers' expense.
Another lunatic abomination ... the calibre and mentality of children who will enrol in the Gestapo Brigade is more than predictable - the unsupervised and the poor.
Defies belief that children of questionable background will be paid - bribed - to spy on anyone, especially adults.
Stick Hitler's 'tache on Miliband's face; the resemblance is alarming - it's the dark eyes, hunger for power.

There's been an alarming rise in the arrests of innocent adults targetted by feral mobs 'pardoned' by police.
Is this a Government directive ?
This is pure Common Purpose and like-minded groups.
I was going to say that it is a very good idea and that it worked very well for that Hitler bloke just a few years ago but the bottom of your post mentions that as well.
Also we have the Poolice around here arming kids with speed cameras ootside schools to catch adults comitting such heinous crimes like doing 32mph where the speed limit is 30mph. These people need to be reminded verbally about the Hitler Youth organisation.
BTW kids are usualy the worst offenders around here, pinching stuff out of gardens, intimidating old people and stealing cars in the full knowledge that the law can't touch them.

Is this step one in EU's policing proposals ?
I doubt Sir Ian Blair condones children being bribed to spy; he's likely appalled. Government tried to 'oust him' on the race card.
