Third body found at Shropshire murder mansion

Third body found at Shropshire murder mansion

Police sifting through the rubble of a fire-ravaged mansion in Shropshire have found a third body.

The body has yet to be identified, although the search at Osbaston House, which was burnt to the ground almost a week ago, has focused on the missing 15-year-old, Kirstie Foster.

West Mercia Police said that it had found "further human remains in the main part of Osbaston House, Maesbrook, early yesterday evening"
.

It was just a question of whether Christopher Foster had killed his wife and daughter before killing himself, or whether he buggered off to try and start a new life on his own. In any event, it was arguable that the killings were conducted whilst the balance of his mind was disturbed and therefore a possibility that it was manslaughter by way of diminished responsibility. It is clearly a tragedy. A business idea which was sound and could have set up Christopher Foster for life went wrong. It slipped from his grasp when his business skills did not match his idea, and instead of ploughing the money back into the business he spent it on climbing the social ladder to keep up appearances. It could have all worked out alright but it didn't. Still, it was hell of an over reaction. I have never been one to save face. Image rather than reality appears to have been what Christopher Foster kept uppermost in his mind. It would not have been the end of the world to slip down the social ladder.

jailhouselawyer,

The higher they climb the harder they fall ... a tragic end for what seemed to be a loving family. It seems he decided to take their beloved animals with them into the hereinafter.

Another line of thought is that he may have borrowed heavily from "business partners" who spoke russian and carried Uzis in their line of work.
