As the British troops retreat from Basra in preparation for a withdrawal from the war in Iraq, a bit like Dunkirk, but more like Vietnam, Gordon Brown claims Basra withdrawal not a defeat. Surely, you are not claiming that it is a victory? Strategic withdrawal my arse! We've had our arses kicked, and we're going home to lick our wounds.

Apart from the grammatical errors, I am almost totally innumerate but even I know that if I take 35% from 100% it does not leave 75% it leaves 65%. Your sums, like your email doesn't add up...
