Mrs Justice Hogg makes a pigs arse of herself
I don't know why the Daily Telegraph has this misleading headline Madeleine McCann parents gain access to police files. All that Leicestershire Police have agreed to do is provide contact details and a summary of the information they provided to police from 81 files. This is not the same as providing access to the confidential police files. And, given that the McCanns sought to gain access to 11,000 files, they have ended up with the crumbs off the table.
I am disappointed with what appears to be the ramblings of a senile old judge. Mrs Justice Hogg apparently made a plea to the non-existent abductor of Madeleine. I feel this is quite improper for a member of the Judiciary in this country to make such a statement as this, particularly as the McCanns are official suspects in Portugal in the disappearance of their own daughter. The stupid judge appears to have accepted as fact the version of events put forward by the McCanns. However, there is no evidence of any abductor.
