Care home takes fees from dead woman
"A care home took thousands of pounds from a grandmother's savings to pay for her future care – even though she was already dead.
Nearly £2,300 was taken from 88-year-old Edna Weyman's bank account days after she died, as an advance for the following month's care".
I think the care home will have hell of a job defending this case if it ever got to court. I would say that it is an unfair contract term. The managers of the care home should be thoroughly ashamed of this conduct.
A mixture of law, politics, autobiography and humour. Once described as "The Devilish Advocate" (Guardian), I do have the ability to provoke a response. Sometimes it comes from someone who uses a thought process, and sometimes from jerks usually associated with the knee.
