Couple charged with neglect after girl aged seven dies in hospital
I just find it incredible in this day and age that a 7 year old child can be starved to death over a period of 3 months, and yet nobody in the local community or at school noticed anything wrong. The fact that the neighbours used to regularly see the children and then not see them for 3 months should have alerted them to something being wrong.
In the 1950 and 1960s I doubt this could have happened because neighbours would have visited the house to ask what was wrong.
Were the mother and stepfather spending all the food budget on class A drugs?
A mixture of law, politics, autobiography and humour. Once described as "The Devilish Advocate" (Guardian), I do have the ability to provoke a response. Sometimes it comes from someone who uses a thought process, and sometimes from jerks usually associated with the knee.
