Judge attacked for 'disgusting' sentence
"The mother of barrister's clerk Lee Cook, who was killed in a City bar because of a row over a spilt drink, berated a senior judge across a courtroom for the "disgusting" 14-month sentence he passed on the man responsible".
It's a small world. This judge chaired my first Parole Board hearing. I feel he should have directed my release because the 6 against 1 of the reports favoured my release. He turned a blind eye to the psychiatrist on the panel falling asleep during the hearing. In effect, his decision cost me a further 10 years.
A mixture of law, politics, autobiography and humour. Once described as "The Devilish Advocate" (Guardian), I do have the ability to provoke a response. Sometimes it comes from someone who uses a thought process, and sometimes from jerks usually associated with the knee.
