They've been trying to standardise us since Peel was in shorts. Since most of our latest recruits seem to write their statements in "text-speak", they'll have their work cut out.
For me, making off without payment will still be bilking, blaggers will still leg it, and taking a five-fingered discount will still be arrestable. It will still be dark over Will's mother's, and people in no danger whatsoever will still be given the number of the Pidley Mountain Rescue Team , just in case. Spurious calls will still get the write-off LOB and, of course, people like FJL will still be RMP.
Progress. Bah, humbug. (Or should that be sheep noise, stripy sweet)
