McCanns appoint separate lawyers
I think that it is an interesting development to discover in an article criticising the McCanns for hampering the police investigation, this little snippet of information: "It is understood the McCanns will have separate lawyers to deal with the allegations which have been put to them by Portuguese police".
Divide and conquer...

I always like to see separate lawyers. It tends to be an indicator of diverging accounts, generally where the divergence is over a significant point. Alernatively, it could be that one brief has an arrangement with another to spread the heavy burden of cash, sorry - work, that is inevitably on its way...
