A mixture of law, politics, autobiography and humour. Once described as "The Devilish Advocate" (Guardian), I do have the ability to provoke a response. Sometimes it comes from someone who uses a thought process, and sometimes from jerks usually associated with the knee.

I suspect the poster of the 'hang Mandela' comment was being sarcastic, as that's what the young conservatives used to say and Dale appears to be criticising the old man unfairly.
I'm sure Mandela and in fact all other African leaders have had a few things to say to and about Mugabe. They just don't believe in washing their dirty linen in front of the world's media.
Most Africans are deeply ashamed about Mugabe. In fact the day they got independence, we had a special assembly at my school in Nigeria. I even bought a song by Bob Marley about the event (called 'Africans Unite' - Africans are liberate Zimbabwe). Marley would be turning in his grave now. We just don't want to compound our shame by shouting at Mugabe in public. That may be the Western way, but we prefer our quarrels behind closed doors.
africanmum: Dale cannot take criticism himself but he likes to dish it out. He was unfair on Mandela.
