The ongoing saga of my computer
Since I last blogged and I thought my computer was ok again, apparently it was not and it lasted a couple of hours before packing up again.
Yesterday, I got in touch with a computer firm and an engineer came out to have a look at my machine. Initially he thought it might be the graphic card, and took away my tower for diagnosis.
This morning when I phoned he told me it is the motherboard which has packed up. So, today he is going to look for a secondhand one or get a new one. He has given me an estimate of £70 for the work.
I am not using the time constructively, ie, cleaning the house which is in a mess. Rather I am watching such as Bargain Hunt, Flog It, Houses Under The Hammer, and the news.
A mixture of law, politics, autobiography and humour. Once described as "The Devilish Advocate" (Guardian), I do have the ability to provoke a response. Sometimes it comes from someone who uses a thought process, and sometimes from jerks usually associated with the knee.
