James Bulger's mother in another rabid rant

Sack the Children's Commissioner, says James Bulger's mother
The mother of James Bulger has called for the Children’s Commissioner to be sacked for “insensitive” comments about her son’s murder.
Denise Fergus must be feeling some guilt over leaving her 2 year old son James Bulger unsupervised whilst she was busy doing her shopping. This period of negligence allowed 2 10 year-old-boys, Jon Venables and Robert Thompson, to walk off with James from the shopping mall and later to kill him in an horrific attack.
The tragedy is that 2 older children killed another younger child. To add to this tragedy, adults sought to reek vengence but instead got vengeance. It means that those, Jon Venables and Robert Thompson, who had victimised James Bulger, became victims themselves.
By treating children too early as adults, for the purpose of criminal responsibility, we lose childhood innocence.
Leaving aside Denise Fergus' own guilt, what happened to her should not have happened to any mother. But, it did happen. Once more, it is a case of 'get over it'. All I see and hear from her, are angry, bitter, and twisted emotions. What is needed here, instead, is rational outpourings. Not more of the 'Scousers have got big mouths'!

John you really should spend some time putting yourself in other's shoes. Develop some empathy for the victims. If you ever had a two year old you would realize how fast they can disappear. I had to put mine on a harness.
In Canada we do not treat children as criminals if they are guilty of a serious crime they are put in detention until they are of age. Their names are never published in the media. The problem with this is sometimes children who have murdered go on to kill someone else when they are released. The inner rage and violent tendencies are still there. The public is not very protected under this situation.
Denise is bitter, and rightfully so. Had these boys been transferred to an adult prison for at least ten years once they became 18, no one would have heard much more from her or the public about the case. Furthermore, Venables would not have been free to get stabbed, take drugs and get drunk, download child porn, go to Merseyside, disclose his true identity at huge taxpayer cost, and God knows what else. Does she feel guilty? Likely so. Any parent would-even if they had done absolutely everything that anyone could possibly do to keep his/her child safe. In a situation like that, anyone would blame him/herself. That's natural. Your words indicate that you are not a parent and have never spent time bringing up a child. If you had, you wouldn't question Denise for one minute. You would be seriously questioning Mr. Straw, Dame Butler-Sloss and the new Commissioner who, not surprisingly, does not have children of her own and believes that James' murder was "unpleasant". I believe that her comment is the most insensitive understatement of the decade. I don't know if she should be sacked, but I do know that she has started things off on the wrong foot and that she is more concerned about criminals than she is about their victims. Any 10 year old who doesn't fully understand that murder is wrong and goes on to commit one should be locked up until he does understand, and then another 15 years slapped on after he does get it. I know 3 year olds who know that murder is wrong, so stating that 10 year olds shouldn't be prosecuted is naive balderdash. It's that simple.
I broadly agree with your sentiments. Denise is fodder for journalists who want to twist debates over criminal justice into a hue and cry for the lynch mob.
Yes, John. I totally agree with you on this point. And the next time you get into trouble with Rocky please don't expect any sympathy. The knife cuts both ways.
Oh, by the way I have another story for you that you haven't covered yet. "Jews manipulate Nazi death camps for their own advantage"
Write that one up.
