Historically, when the country needed Hull it was there for them. And, now when Hull needs the country it has been deserted.
First we are being told by Hilary Benn that no central funding will be made available for the flood disaster in Hull to repair the damage.
And then we are being told by Hazel Blears that central funding will be made available. So, which story is true? Or, has there been a government U Turn? Or, did Hilary Benn speak out of turn?
UPDATE: Slowly but surely this story is getting national media attention.
