It is not a good advert for the government early release scheme, because of prison overcrowding, that 3 youths are accused of robbery less than 2 hours after being released from a Youth Offender Institute and whilst they were on their way to visit their probation officers. Especially as they would have been given a discharge grant to tide them over until they could claim from the Department of Works and Pensions.
Having said that, the Telegraph is a bit over the top referring to them as a gang, I suspect that they are nothing more than opportunistic thieves, and referring to them as inmates when they are quite obviously no such thing having been released from custody.
A mixture of law, politics, autobiography and humour. Once described as "The Devilish Advocate" (Guardian), I do have the ability to provoke a response. Sometimes it comes from someone who uses a thought process, and sometimes from jerks usually associated with the knee.
