Musings on politics
It has been claimed that some MPs have misguidedly forgotten that it is the electorate who is the master and the MPs the servant. Certainly, in relation to fiddled expenses some MPs have clearly been selfserving. Some MPs, again, appear to believe that their party is the master. And some Labour MPs are muddying the waters, do they think the country would be better off under David Cameron and the Tory Party?
At present, the country is governed by a Labour government. The leader of the Labour Party is Gordon Brown, who is also the Prime Minister. It is the duty of the Opposition to oppose the government. Those MPs within the Labour Party who do not feel that they can support Gordon Brown should either resign or join with others who feel the same and vote in a new leader of the Party. What is getting forgotten is that the electorate do not appear to be getting represented whilst all this infighting is going on.
The Telegraph is reporting Revealed: how Cabinet Blairites plotted to topple Brown. Tony Blair is no longer the Prime Minister. If there are Blairites still within the Labour Party, why? The present and future not the past should concern us here. It is a shame that the Telegraph news is only attributed to a "Senior source"...
I could not help but wonder where the rocking of the boat came into this, when in 2 days Hazel Blears would have been tossed over the side for the sharks?
Jacqui Smith is damaged goods, no loss there and we might have gained with Alan Johnson. However, I bet he has not got the bottle to tackle the private company which is ACPO?

John I think what is being revealed is what Tony Wots His Name actually did to the "Labour" Party.
Like Moses he led them out of the wilderness, but the cost was at the sacrifice of all that we believed a socialist party should stand for.
To be honest with you I do not see anyone left in the Party who can get them back on track for a future victory.
Hopefully a new leader may emerged from the next intake of MPs, but it looks like they have consigned themselves to a long time back in the desert again.
