At the Weekend Rocky and I went for a walk along the Drain, just to see, and I was pleased to notice that the blackberries are out in force. Therefore, I went back again today and picked enough to fill a 2kg margarine tub. In my excitement, I had forgotten about the downside all the scratches from thorns and nettle stings. Still, blackberry jam and apple and blackberry pie and ice cream with blackberries make it all worthwhile.
Where's my Seasonal "Russian" worker James Higham when you need him most?
