Lord Sheldon steals £130k of taxpayers money

Fraudster Lord Sheldon

Lord Sheldon was trusted to guard the public purse, but instead the despicable rogue has been caught with his fingers in the till to the tune of £130,000 over 6 years! He fraudulently claimed to be living in a house as his main residence, when in actual fact he did not live there at all because 6 years earlier he had given the house to his son to avoid paying death duties on the house.

This man is just rotten to the core...

Robert Sheldon, a former Treasury minister, spent years as chairman of the Commons public accounts committee scrutinising government departments to check whether taxpayers were receiving value for money. A respected parliamentarian, he was nonetheless criticised for suppressing an official report into Britain’s Al Yamamah arms deal with Saudi Arabia.

In his last four years as an MP, he served as chairman of the standards and privileges committee, which examines improprieties by members.

He said his own conduct had to be “whiter than white” although he was once criticised by the Commons standards commissioner for failing to declare a relevant shareholding in a series of speeches.

He should be hung, drawn and quartered and his head stuck on a spike on Tower Bridge as an example to other corrupt MPs and members of the House of Lords!
