Loggers 'burned Amazon tribe girl alive'

Loggers 'burned Amazon tribe girl alive'

Loggers in Brazil captured an eight-year-old girl from one of the Amazon's last uncontacted tribes and burned her alive as part of a campaign to force the indigenous population from its land, reports claimed last night.

Perhaps the loggers should be burnt alive?

OH my god! What the fuck and I am always reading about loggers killing indigenous peoples, but, I guess the 'usa' wood lobby makes sure we won't do anything until there is almost nothing left & no money to be made THEN they'll say something.

Sometimes I dream I can go live in the jungles there as some kind of demon or monster & that I would murder all the loggers who came into the forests. (yeah I know that sounds weird XD XD)

This sort of thing makes me so ANGRY!!

Values are so screwed up, where has humanity gone...

CP: It shocked me and I don't shock easily. It's a horror story. It seems as if when humanity is discovered in one part of the world, there is a loss of it in another part.

I think the problem is that on the whole people in the industrialised nations think they are clever because they have formal education and technology.

These industrialised nations think that indiginous peoples are savages and uneducated and don't know anything at all, due to their lack of formal education and technology. Nothing could be further from the truth, the indiginous peoples have so much knowledge that has been lost to the people of the industrialised nations.

For example, they are far more tuned into nature, life and communties and how to keep them functioning healthily for mutual benefit.

The industrialised nations have been corrupted by money which has now become the main driver/aim rather than humanity and what is really important.

So in the eyes of industry, logging = money and the child was just a savage and therefore inconsequential and expendible.

Sickening isn't it?

Cherrypie: I think you are right. I am pretty much self-taught. Nevertheless, I have defeated those with Eton/Harrow and Oxbridge educations. I knew a traveller with no formal education, he was impressed with my knowledge. Without a blueprint, purely from memory, he would make matchstick vardos (caravans). A prison visitor who was a draughtsman could not believe my friend possessed such a talent.

There is a wealth of talent going to waste in prisons. All I asked was to be treated like a human being, claiming I had human rights. The screws would reply you're not human you're a prisoner and you have no rights. I set out to prove them wrong, and that their violent response to me would be no deterrent.

I am an observer. I studied my environment. It became my jungle. As such, I laid traps. I worked out that where as previously I had thought that life was predetermined, I could actually now control my path. I kept it straight and narrow. It's simpler that way. The same with my Strasbourg case on prisoners votes, its simple if kept to the straight and narrow. The difficulties come when anyone attempts to stray from the path, I laid traps and they are a legal minefield.

I am not a capitalist, and money has never really meant much to me. So, I miss its corrupting influence. My value is the truth. It's a pity MPs don't share this. The Nazi regime justified its policy by dehumanising Jews, gypsies, etc. Prison guards dehumanised prisoners to treat them badly.

The best thing I ever learnt was about human rights, and the belief that everbody is entitled to them. As for being savage, the child is innocent. The savagery is burning her alive at the stake. The poor mite is not inconsequential and should not have been deemed expendable in the path of progress. Sometimes the journey to the future becomes a path into the past.

Definitely, sickening.
