Former top cop backs 42 days detention
"Police should be able to detain terror suspects for up to 42 days to combat the growing threat from extremists, the former chief of terror investigations has warned".
No they shouldn't. What growing threat? We need extra security because I say so, is the message. I am not convinced. There wouldn't be a knighthood in the offering would there if he was able to pull this off?
I suppose there are more Polish plumbers than Brazilian electricians, this could be a growing terror threat...
