Muslim family thrown off US jet for 'remarks'
Nine Muslims, eight of them US-born citizens, were ordered off a US flight on New Year's Day after two girls overheard what airline officials described as suspicious remarks.
The group, including three children, were removed as they boarded an AirTran flight from Washington to Florida, where they planned to attend a religious retreat. One of the nine, Kashif Irfan, an anaesthetist, said his brother and his wife were discussing the safest place to sit. "[They] were discussing some aspect of airport security," he told local TV. "The only thing he said was: 'Wow, the jets are right next to my window.' I think they were remarking about safety".
Comment: It does appear that the airline overreacted and that there was an element of prejudice and discrimination. So much for Bush's war on terror...

How is this an "over reaction?" It was the passengers whao alerted the crew AND the Federal Air MArshalls agreed. Its a legitimate and logical concern. Lets not forget that 19 other men of “mid-eastern origin” committed the largest mass murder of innocent people in the history of the USA, and in the name of the Religion that these 9 passengers were going to practice at a “retreat”. Because these two men were well educated does not mean they are western friendly. It was two
doctors that perpetrated the attack at Glasgow airport in June 2007. The passengers who alerted the crew applied good common sense logic in alerting the crew. The Muslim men that were pulled off the plane could have avoided this confusion by not making the inappropriate comments they made. They have ONLY themselves to blame. If they were so reasonable and western friendly, then why didn't that acknowledge the other passengers concerns and apply understanding to the situation? They knew better,… their education

WTF is "Western friendly" is this some new prerequisite for being allowed to live in society? enlighten me please Shuto. Or must I be proven to be "Shuto friendly" in order to warrant a response?
