The Chief Constable of Avon and Somerset Police Colin Port says he is prepared to go to jail rather than return suspected child pornography.
There is something rather disturbing about a police officer declaring that he is putting himself above the law.

There is also something rather disturbing about someone so desperate to hang onto the material in question.
If he is willing to go to prison, surely he is not actually putting himself above the law? He is saying he is willing to suffer the legal consequences of his actions.
I agree with Richard that wanting the material back (assuming it is indeed indecent) is disturbing.
