Don't gag blogging prisoners

Attempting to ban prisoners from blogging is just going to shut down a useful source of information for the general public

It certainly was an excellent article. I got the feeling that many of the people leaving comments were Mail readers on a visit to the Grauniad.

I have no idea who you have upset though!

Have just been reading more of the comments , the brits when they get on their high horses seem to miss the point.

Jams: Thanks. I don't think Iain Dale is upset at all. I am not on his Christmas card list, but his post was good and he states what Ben has to say is interesting and that he recognises this is a freedom of expression issue.

Not Gruaniad readers, it is the staff of aforementioned rag. They write their own comments. Ever tried to submit something which doesn't fit in with the writer's opinion?

BTW most people in England are drip-fed lies which they happily swallow without any further thought. The telly and Big Brother is more important to these types.

Yes a good and thought provoking article John.
I must admit I was expecting Mrs. Dale to get on her high horse, but felt instead she was quite restrained and balanced.
Unlike many of her commentators who showed their "Little Englanders" ignorance of the subject, and ditto on the Gruniad.
Keep up the good work.
