Smellie pig to be charged with G20 assault
A Metropolitan Police officer is to be charged with assault after he was filmed apparently striking protestor Nicola Fisher during the G20 summit in London in April.
Sergeant Delroy Smellie, known as Tony, was issued with a court summons following an investigation by the Independent Police Complaints Commission.
Miss Fisher, 35, lodged a complaint with the IPCC after she was struck by a policeman during protests outside the ExCel Centre in the Docklands area on April 2.
