A mixture of law, politics, autobiography and humour. Once described as "The Devilish Advocate" (Guardian), I do have the ability to provoke a response. Sometimes it comes from someone who uses a thought process, and sometimes from jerks usually associated with the knee.

Good piece. Not very flattering about your interior decor and I don't believe you shuffle. Good to see this issue hotting up.
This is not the first article that I have read where the reporter picks up on the decor and makes you out to be a shuffling unshaved geriatric.
I am yet to see a photo of you where you do not look dapper, clean and shaved. I am yet to see any reporter make allowances for unemployed people who cannot afford to redecorate but have no choice but to live in aging decorations.
John, its not where you live or how you have no choice to live, but its what you say and how you say it. I don't always agree with what you fight for but I simply admire you for what you try to achieve and will achieve. So sod how you look and what the decor is like as its totally unimportant.
DD: I agree totally. However, I have read recently where it was thought that a panel were dismissive of Bobby Cummines arguing the same points because he did not speak with an Eton/Harrow/Oxbridge accent.
