Fastest Ferrari to debut at Beijing Motor Show
The fastest road-going Ferrari in history, the 599 GTO, is set to be unveiled at the Beijing Motor Show later this month, aimed at the company's most exclusive customers.
The whole purpose of unveilling a new car at a motor show is to drum up sales for the model on display. "The Beijing motor show opens to the public on April 27 by which time Ferrari is expecting all GTOs to be accounted for". If all the 600 cars made are to be privately sold for £300,000 each beforehand, what is the point of putting the car on general show? Surely, this is a tease equivalent to you can look but not touch?
