Dozens of MPs who repaid money amid public outrage at their expenses claims were quietly refunded under a secret deal with the Commons authorities, it has emerged.

Here is a list of the 26 MPs who paid expenses back to the taxpayer only to receive a refund. The particular expense for which they received a refund is given where known.
