Two robbers shot dead in failed bank raid
"There were 25 to 30 undercover police officers with 'Metropolitan Police' across their caps with big machine guns".
And yet, The Third Man got away? How convenient. Who was he? An undercover police officer? An agent provocateur? A Super Grass?

This happened in Chandler's Ford - part of Southampton. What on earth were the Met doing in Hampshire? Even with a tip-off, why wasn't this down to the local bobbies to deal with? One can only assume that the "baddies" were wearing something to mask their faces, that so - how did the police know which one not to shoot?
And why do the police have to reduce their street cred even further by increasing gun crime? Is it really necessary to kill people, when kneecapping would work as effectively?
