A mixture of law, politics, autobiography and humour. Once described as "The Devilish Advocate"
(Guardian), I do have the ability to provoke a response. Sometimes it comes from someone who uses a thought process, and sometimes from jerks usually associated with the knee.
No, if you sign up you have to obey orders, important difference. I do honestly believe that he wanted to follow in the tradition of his grandfather and uncle and see active service and that the troops wanted him to go (as demonstrated by the "I'm Harry" t-shirts). It was the Chief of the General Staff himself that made the decision that he wasn't going. I think this has far more to say about the cluster-fuck that is the Iraq war than it does about Harry.
Tony we were told that he would not be treated any differently than any other soldier. I have not heard the Chief of General Staff tell anybody else they cannot go because it is too dangerous.
I disagree with the Iraq war. And, I am not a Royalist. I would feel more disposed towards them if they lived in a council house on a estate...

I know, but if you join up you have to fight if there is a war on. I think it has set a dangerous precedent.

No, JHL, you are wrong. George Bush is a dangerous precedent.
(I'm not sure I spelled that right...)
