Gerry and Kate McCann sue publisher for £4M
The child killers Gerry and Kate McCann are suing for £4M according to Obsolete. He reports that he got the story from the latest edition of Private Eye. Apparently, the McCanns are seeking £1M from each of the Daily Express, Sunday Express, Daily Star Sunday and Daily Star, for publishing stories suggesting that the McCanns are responsible for the disappearance of Madeleine.
One of the recognised motives for murder is financial gain. From the outset, the McCanns have sought to profit from the disappearance of Madeleine. One of the theories is that Madeleine was accidentally killed and then came the cover up. But, what if it was premeditated? I would suggest that the parents innocent of any wrongdoing would be more interested in finding their missing daughter than trying to line their pockets with cash.
A mixture of law, politics, autobiography and humour. Once described as "The Devilish Advocate" (Guardian), I do have the ability to provoke a response. Sometimes it comes from someone who uses a thought process, and sometimes from jerks usually associated with the knee.

It's really true. Just saw it in my copy of Private Eye. Odd thing is, the Mail has lost readers as people thought they were hero-worshipping this couple. I was even moved to start a Downing St petition because of a racist article against the Portuguese in the Mail, in support of this pair. I think we should all get ringside seats for this case - it'll be really something to watch. I guess you haven't got any letters as they don't think you have £4m to give them. Now I've really heard it all.
I suppose this is just another stunt to keep them on the gravy train.
Be interesting to see if they pursue it all the way to court.
Perjury springs to mind, whoever advised them on this move might want to re-think it.
John I dont often agree with you, but these two are everything but innocent. We know it, most of the population knows it and so do the media. I think the police do aswell. They are profiting from the death (we think) of their daughter.
