A prison on the Isle of Wight has been forced to change its locks at a cost of £150,000 over security fears.
A risk assessment at HMP Isle of Wight, which houses the Albany, Parkhurst, and Camp Hill prisons, showed there was a risk locks could be "compromised".
All the locks were changed within days of the discovery last month.
Governor Barry Greenberry said he was angry that the cost would have to come from the prison's budget while it could have been spent on rehabilitation.
This case highlights the need to ensure that seperate budgets should be used for security and rehabilitation purposes.
