The deceitful Stephen Pound exposes the depths to which Labour has sunk
The first thing I did when I started to read this attack upon me was to do a Google search upon the writer to see how clean he comes up on the expenses scandal. The answer is dirty. Stephen Pound MP is a thieving, hypocritical, hook-nosed bastard!
According to Wikipedia: "In May 2009 it was discovered Pound had claimed a mileage allowance of £4,251, equating to 11,004 miles of travel between his constituency and Parliament 11 miles away. He explained this by saying he made the trip 'two or three times a day'.
Pound is one of the 98 MPs who voted to keep their expense details secret".
It was this paragraph which I found particulary offensive on Pound's article: "The fact that a slimy bunch of legal harlots are slithering around the penitentiaries touting for grubby but profitable business simply adds to the stench that arises from this whole business".
Couldn't that just about sum up expenses-thieving MPs? A slimy bunch slithering around the trough that the grubby bastards have stuck their snouts into and their conduct has caused a right stench.
Basically, people in glass houses should not throw stones.
Apart from Pound getting the 2005 Grand Chamber decision date wrong, it exposes that Labour never had any intention of implementing the decision. Whilst I was aware that Labour had kicked it into the long grass, it is the contempt they were showing the Court in just how long they intended losing the issue for: "Labour was presented with the judgement back in 2007 but declined to implement it as we felt that further examination was needed and although this process may well take decades it is the function of a serious democracy to consider such matters thoroughly and in depth".
