It is wrong for the PM to deny prisoners the vote
I FIND it incredible that in this modern age, the Prime Minister says a person serving a prison sentence forfeits the right to vote.
Men and women in prison receive a sentence that befits their crime – it does not mean they forfeit the right to be treated as normal human beings.
Society has already punished them for their crimes and if we want them to return to society with good intent we should abolish any rule that takes away their basic dignity.
Common men have died for this right and it is wrong to forbid them a vote – if indeed they want to vote for some of these "criminals" we call politicians.
