Child Support Agency and the law is an ass

It does seem a bit much when there is so much prison overcrowding to find room for 42 days for a barrister who refuses to pay the Child Support Agency £42,000. Especially, as his former wife is working and he actually pays for the children's support for half the week whilst the children are with him.

I like this quote: "An individual who breaks a law that conscience tells him is unjust, and who willingly accepts the penalty of prison in order to arouse the conscience of the community over its injustice, is in reality expressing the highest respect for the law" (DR MARTIN LUTHER KING, JR).

Ahhhh, yes, Child Support. Now that is an area of much conspiracy and intrigue.

PS Did the wife press a claim for this? And was she working at a sensibly paid job at the time it accrued? I should probably follow the links.

So the mother has now got to give up work because Dad can't care for the Boys while He is in Prison and the Boys have lost their Dad.

If this is Child support then I would dread to think what the reverse is.
