I have heard it said that the best things in life are free. However, we live in a capitalist society and it costs money to survive. Even prisoners being released from prison need to be given discharge grants sufficient to last them until they are able to obtain State benefits. It takes 3 weeks before they are able to obtain State benefits. The Guardian reports that some ex-prisoners have been released without any money at all. And, one prisoner was given an IOU for £140 but was not told how he could claim the money owed. The National Probation Service claims that this is a recipe for reoffending. The whole point of combining the Prison Service and Probation Service into the National Offender Management Service was to manage offenders. This scandal clearly shows that it has failed to manage, but has succeeded instead to mismanage. Given that it all now comes under the Ministry of Justice, I think that the Ministry of Injustice is more appropriate.

It is not just confined to prisoners being released, it is across the whole board. If ANYBODY in need is in need of financial help, regardless of their circumstances they have to wait for the same time. Speaking from past experience.
While the shiny arses in the offices get their lazy arses into gear you can drop dead from hunger.
