(Guardian), I do have the ability to provoke a response. Sometimes it comes from someone who uses a thought process, and sometimes from jerks usually associated with the knee.
I'm no believer in the feath penalty as that makes the state as much as a killer as the lawbreaker. I am sure that I will get a lot of flak with my view, including people who would argue "what if the victim was one of yours?"
Taking a life in place of another life does not give the perpetrator any chance to reflect, you can't always judge people by one fatal mistake. You can't bring back a victim by killing the perpetrator.
That having been said, if some burberry-capped chav killed one of mine in a drunken drug-fuelled joyride I would take great pleasure in showing the hard side of a crowbar to his bonce...

BUT then thats just me. I can't stand chavs!
