Warning to all prison law practitioners
I can give you some inside information that our old "friend", Mark Leech, has been up to his old tricks again. Fraud, misrepresentation, deception, copyright theft and plagiarism, in relation to his heavily over priced Prisons Handbook 2010. A lawyer who specialises in these areas of law has been contacted, and I am seeking an injunction preventing further sales and distribution of the said book.
The con man states on his website...
"(Save £30!) Inmate & Registered Charity Price: £59.99 + £7.20 p&p;
Published Price £89.99 + £7.20 p&p".
In my view, there is a better legal alternative called Inside Information, priced at £25 inc p&p.
It maybe, in time, that anyone daft enough to waste money on Leech's 2010 book may get a return for their money if it becomes a collector's item following its withdrawal from general sale as a consequence of legal action against the miscreant.

With that price tag it seems to have its own built-in consumer deterrent. (25 quid, on the other hand, for 816pp offers real value for a book of this sort)
Charles: Considering that previous Prisons Handbooks have been mostly written by others, Leech almost got paid for nothing!
Wasn't it a lot cheaper last year? And why does its price fluctuate?
anonymous, I think so, and I have not got a clue. All I know is that in December he was offering the 2009 version for £30 off! Big deal! the 2010 edition of Inside Information is only £25, and in my view are better deal.
