Bulgarian ex-bodyguard wins general election
Mr Borisov, the mayor of Sofia, had been expected to punish the ruling Socialist party for its handling of the economic crisis, which has hit the European Union's poorest country hard, and its failure to stamp out organised crime.
According to exit polls on Sunday night, he was expected to win about 40 per cent of the vote, with the incumbent government failing to reach even half of that figure.

So what is it when a crime boss gets elected to power when the former money grubbing crime bosses (albeit under the guise of "respectable" politics) have lost their chances? I see no difference here to our own situation in England. Our own lot have been bleeding England dry for many years. thats US, the stupid bloody taxpayers. When will you feckers wake up and realise that the two-party dictatorship we have here is fuckin' us all over? BIG TIME. DO we want all these feckin' new laws or don't we?
As I said some time ago, the book by George Orwell "1984" was not supposed to be a fuckin' guide book for the new century. But it is happening. Thanx, Jaqui fuckin' Smiff.
Ah, I hadn't caught up with this one. Interesting.
