Screws accused of much ado about nothing
Guards at a Teesside jail have claimed they are being attacked by inmates on a weekly basis.
Staff at Holme House Prison said recent assaults included officers being pushed down stairs and scalded with hot water.
Union officials have accused managers at the Stockton site of ignoring the problems and of being unwilling to pursue prosecutions against prisoners.
The Prison Service has denied the claims, saying it treats assaults on its staff "very seriously."
