A gagging order only shows that there is something to hide

The durruti column has this on the leaked Bush/Blair Iraq war memo to bomb Al Jazeera. There is more on the story here and here. In this day and age when the internet crosses borders, it seems rather pointless that the judge has imposed a gagging order. It brings into question the integrity of the judge when he makes a decision that the public should be kept in the dark about what their politicians having been up to in secret which affects the lives of the public. Perhaps, I have got it all wrong and that the politicians and judges are not there to serve the public?
