Home Guard Harry

It has been announced that Cornet Wales, aka Prince Harry, will not now be going to war in Iraq as it has been deemed too dangerous for our soldiers. Well, at least, too dangerous for a softie born with a silver spoon in his Royal gob. But, not too dangerous for the rest of the Blues and Royals squadron who have already gone to Iraq without him. Perhaps, the squadron should be renamed if it is not to have a Royal going into combat?

Cornet Wales will instead join the Home Guard at Warmington on Sea, just in case the Iraqi's decide to invade Britain.

Who do you think you are kidding Mr Bullshitter...

P.S. Don't forget to award the single white feather to Cornet Wales for bravery in the face of...

Not his decision. Unfair comment.

Servicemen in general do no relish the the prospect of having a "royal" in their regiment as it makes them a highly desireable target for an enemy. Not that any of our blokes would complain about it, you look out for your mates so to speak. Putting a prince in the front line would guarantee that the company in which he resided would be a highly regarded prize for any enemy sniper or bomber. In plain talk, he would be a liability.

It would be better to leave him to more appropriate royal duties such as doing a spot of ICT on 18 Doughty Street.

big john: He should give the Queen her shilling back...

I have heard from past known colleagues that she is a tight bitch and would probably demand that shilling back with fourpence ha'penny interest....

Aforementioned colleague "Ol' Shit f' Brains" as I affectionately refer to him, used to work years ago in the leather and suitcase dept of Harrods (now known as "'Arrabs) He told me that he once took delivery of an old, smelly, battered set of suitcases for 'refurbishment' for the then Prince of Wales Charles. the cases were sent by his mummy, the tight old cow. Ol' Shit f' Brains, being a seasoned leatherworker by trade REFUSED to work on them as they were in an advanced state of de-composition. The good lady had them sent elsewhere for the work.

One would think that a family with so much money could afford a new set of luggage now and then, would you not?

Better to freshen up an old bag you have used many times, than to fritter your money away on a new one. There's nothing wrong with a few strapmarks, cracks and creases - at least you know you can get all your tackle in. Some of these new bags are designed for small kit only - and attract unwelcome attention.

maneatingcheesesandwich: I'm going to have a word with your missus, talking about her cracks and wrinkles, about having to freshen the old bag up. And what this about her having strap marks? My foster dad gave me a few of them from his leather strap he used to sharpen his razor on. I note your reference to getting all your tackle in, bragging again are we?

Can't Understand why the MOD announced He was being deployed there anyway.

After Shouting from the Rooftops, they could hardly be surprised that it was widely reported.

After the debacle of of the Cornwall Hostages and now this, it's quite clear that the MOD has its knickers n a twist.
