Baa baa blacksheep pulls the wool over the eyes of a jury
I feel that this jury should be lined up against a wall and shot. Surely, this case demands that the CPS lodges an appeal? The detective (or should that be defective?), decided to overtake 4 cars on a bend just because he wanted to, doing over 80mph on a stretch of road where the legal limit is 60mph, causes a head on crash which killed the other driver, and the "jury rejected a more serious charge of causing death by dangerous driving". Unbloodybelieveable that he was only convicted of driving without due care and attention, and banned from driving for a year and has to pay a £2,000 fine. What is even worse, the sheep-shagging constabulary, Dyfed-Powys Police, intend to allow the defective to return to driving duties! The man should be sacked!

Funny handshake brigade.....
John - I too would like to see a retrial, but do we know if there was a judicial direction on this? It might not have been the jury's fault...
david: From what the judge said, had he been convicted of dangerous driving he would have imposed a custodial sentence, I suspect that the judge was not agreeing with the jury's verdict.
