Tomorrow is a bank holiday, which got me to thinking where do banks go on holiday?

John - I dunno, but they take the bloody Post Office with them...
I think that is bang out of order, if they were meant to go along too it would be called the Bank and Post Office holiday...
Actual definition is that it is a day on which you cannot be forced to perform any banking which you cannot be forced to perform on Christmas Day (From some Act I found on Westlaw over a year ago). I never cared enough to find out what a banking act is.
marcin: I think you miss the point, I am not asking why there is a bank holiday. But, thanks anyway.
Actualy, the Banks go on holiday to a chalet on the south coast. I know this as my missus used to work for the Banks as a nanny. Mr Colin Banks and his wife and two daughters, to be precise.
Good words.
