US should bow its head in shame!
In 2001 the US invaded Afghanistan. "The stated aim of the invasion was to find Osama bin Laden and other high-ranking Al-Qaeda members to be put on trial, to destroy the organization of Al-Qaeda, and to remove the Taliban regime which supported and gave safe harbor to it. The Bush administration stated that, as policy, it would not distinguish between terrorist organizations and nations or governments that harbored them. The United Nations did not authorize the U.S.-led invasion of Afghanistan".
The US forces came across a 15 year old youth trying to defend his country against this foreign invasion. They shot him twice in the back, but he managed to survive so they then set about torturing him until he made a confession. Now he is on trial as a war criminal. The trial judge who is a US military officer, has ruled that the statement obtained under duress is admissible. The jury is not made up of the defendant's peers, but instead is composed of 12 serving US military officers. What is clear from all of this is that the US has no intention of ensuring a fair trial!
