Employers are abusing the system to snoop on recruits

"Police files that were opened up with the aim of helping to protect children from sex offenders are being sold for as little as £37 to employers who simply want to find out more about job applicants".

Makes one think what constitutes abuse anyway, doesn't it?

Not at all. I recently formed a small company and used this service to check up on one of my prospective employees, namely one John Hirst. I found out that he had been secretly filmed shoving rice krispies into tiny cracks in the plasterwork of his kitchen. This led me to believe that the whole system is as bent as a nine bob note....
