Guantanamo inmate wins right to see secret 'torture' evidence

A British resident facing the death penalty at Guantanamo Bay has won his case for the Government to disclose secret evidence that he says supports claims he was tortured into confessing to crimes he did not commit.

"The court has yet to decide whether the Foreign Secretary is within the law to withhold the information on the ground of national security".

Let me assist the court on this issue, it is a absolute human right not to be tortured. Therefore, there is no legal argument to withhold information on the ground of national security.

If this had been a WW2 movie and the good guys had got the information to save our brave lads using torture the audience would have been applauding while sucking on their lollies. But as it isn't and we feel safe living in deepest wherever we recoil in horror at what some did on our behalf. But really deep down we're bloody pleased these guys did the nasty things that we were unable to do. You see that's what we are, selfish and afraid, always have been and always will be, but the few who are not afraid they don't blog they do.

You have a valid point there Mike.

Anon I would like to know if you would allow the same thing to happen to you?
After all you must have something to hide by posting anonymously.
Which in the perverted world these fools live in would make you a suspect.
Now what vital information could you be made to confess to that would save us all from you?
As for it being done on my behalf, no it is not, I live my life to higher standards than these fools.
Torture is the brutal unthinking man's option.

Easy to be the hero barnacle bill when you feel no harm will befall you. But when that day arrives and you need the help of those you now despise you'll ask for it. We all will, that's why I thank them for doing what I am unable to do.
