Foreign prisoners sent home nine months early
"Foreign criminals in British prisons could be let out nine months early in an attempt to free up space.
Thousands of offenders would be eligible for removal from the country 270 days before the halfway point of their sentence, the Government said yesterday.
They will not have to serve the rest of their prison term when they arrive home.
The existing early removal scheme for foreign inmates allows offenders who are jailed for four years or less to be transferred 135 days before the mid-point of their sentence".
