UK prisons now 'over-capacity'

UK prisons now 'over-capacity'

"The prison population in England and Wales has exceeded its highest normal level for the first time".

It's not that long ago that I read that the Director General of the Prison Service stated that he would not let this happen. It has now happened, so what does he intend doing about it?

So, there is over-crowding in prisons. If you don't like it, do not go there. If you are there, we do not care.

There's over-crowding in most of our towns and cities. Prisoners choose to be where they are. Tough shit and get used to it.

Ordinary people do not care about you. You made a choice so why not accept the consequences of your folly?
